We do our best to accommodate the individual style of each event. Whether the occasion calls for purely classical music, an eclectic mixture, or for top 40s hits, we have a wide variety of music available! Plus, if you don’t see a special tune you like, we can usually either buy or create an arrangement for a slight fee. Our most popular options include:
This tried-and-true classic will never go out of style! Our string quartet consists of four instruments: two violins, a viola, and a cello. This ensemble has withstood the test of time due to its fullness of sound – a complete four-part harmony.
String quartets are the perfect backdrop to formal occasions and large-scale affairs such as dinner parties, commencement ceremonies, and cocktail hours. The full sound is balanced so as not to require amplification in most settings, and though they need a slightly larger performance area, they are right at home indoors or out. But if you think the full string quartet will sound out of place playing contemporary music, guess again! Our musicians can put an elegant spin on any style of music.
Some of our favorite classical selections for string quartet include Alleluja from “Exsultate Jubilate” by Mozart, selections from The Water Music Suite by Handel and the incredibly gorgeous Salut d’Amour by Elgar. If you’re looking for a more updated spin on the traditional quartet, you may enjoy hits like Best Day Of My Life by the American Authors, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri or Billie Jean by Michael Jackson, among many others.
Looking for a rich string sound in a smaller package? We have two choices available for our most popular option, the string trio: two violins and cello, or violin, viola, and cello. The difference in sound is very small (the viola provides a slightly deeper range and warmer tone than the brighter violin option), but both options are adaptable to nearly any occasion.
A string trio provides a full harmonic sound, but with one fewer musician, the group is well suited for smaller spaces and more intimate occasions. Our most popular choice for wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and intimate dining parties, the string sound carries well in a variety of settings.
Our string trio can play anything that our string quartet can play, including classical favorites like Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart, Sheep May Safely Graze by J.S. Bach and Pachelbel’s famous Canon in D. Fun new options like Starlight by Muse, Halo by Beyoncé and Bruno Mars’ Marry You can add a whole different dimension to your event!
For an elegant musical touch in an intimate setting, you can’t go wrong with any of our variations of string duet. We can combine any two string players for a balanced yet modest sound, but our most popular pairings are violin-cello, violin-violin, and cello-cello.
Our string duets have performed for wedding ceremonies, church services, romantic dinners, and marriage proposals. Our two musicians take up only a small amount of space and the sound will not overpower conversation in a cozy setting. If you’re interested in a more attention-grabbing look and sound, inquire about our electric cello or violin duets!
Many of our classical selections are well-suited for duet, such as Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, and Dvorâk’s Largo from the New World Symphony. But if you’re looking for a more contemporary vibe, don’t miss our duet versions of Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey, Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra, and even Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen!
Guitar and Cello Duet
Our contemporary and cool guitar/cello duet consists of a solo cellist accompanied by a strumming guitar. Due to the natural difference in volume between the two instruments, both are run through an amplifier, making this ensemble a great choice for any occasion, large or small! Our talented guitarist is also a fantastic singer, and upon request he can sing with guitar/cello accompaniment.
With their undeniably classy spin on contemporary music, this combo is an up-and-coming favorite for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours. For a special emphasis on meaningful moments (a wedding recessional or first dance, for example), our guitarist can surprise your guests with one or two vocal songs from his special repertoire. All this duo needs is a power source and two chairs – the rest is in the music!
Some of our favorite tunes are Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns n’ Roses (great as a bridal processional!), Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Iz, and our own spin on classic hymns. Believe it or not, our guitarist sings a fantastic rendition of Adele’s Love Song!
A major statement in a small package: we offer very talented individual musicians as soloists for your special occasion. Choose from a violin, fiddle, cello, guitar, piano or harp soloist for a modestly beautiful sound.
Though the repertoire for our soloists is more limited than for our ensembles, they offer maximum flexibility for small spaces and free-moving events. With the exception of the harp and piano, the musicians may need to be amplified for large or outdoor settings, but perform well on their own in small spaces. Our solo violinists are especially popular for marriage proposals – très romantique!
If you’re a fan of the Bach Cello Suites, sacred harp solos, or Celtic or country fiddling, we’ve got just the musicians for you. We also have solo adaptations for some of our classical favorites, including Trumpet Voluntary, Méditation from Thaïs, or the Wedding March.
Harp/Violin or Harp/Cello Duet
In this completely elegant ensemble, our harpist accompanies a solo violinist or cellist, providing a full and fabulous sound for both classical and contemporary music. Certainly a sound worthy of angels!
The harp works well for more formal indoor settings, and adding a violin/cello player is icing on this musical cake! This duo is perfect for a lavish wedding ceremony, or a stylized introduction to an exquisite dinner or cocktail reception.
