Trey Willis has been performing and teaching music professionally for over 14 years and received his Bachelor of Music degree from Sam Houston State University. As an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Trey enjoys performing and teaching drum set/percussion, guitar, bass, vocals and saxophone in a variety of musical styles. Trey has taught as a private lesson teacher for several area schools such as The Woodlands HS and Cy-Falls HS, Trey has worked with students who have advanced to Texas All-Region Band, All-Area Band, All State band, and have been accepted into college music programs.
Trey has performed in a variety of musical settings such as; the Sam Houston Jazz Ensemble (lead alto saxophone, drum set, guitar); the Sam Houston Wind Ensemble (principal alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, percussion); numerous area churches (drum set, guitar, bass); session musician (drum set, guitar, bass); and many more. Trey has performed in a variety of musical styles such as classical, jazz, blues, funk, country and rock.
Currently, Trey owns and teaches at The Talent House, a Cypress music school that offers private lessons on various instruments. Outside of teaching, Trey plays drums at Community of Faith Church in Cypress, TX, and he enjoys writing, recording, and performing original music with his band Keiko and Olive & Willis in which he sings, plays guitar, and is the principal songwriter. He is also working as a music producer and session musician.
